Surfers Paradise Classic

Spend 12-Days playing Golf in the Gold Coast

Day 1     Depart Auckland Airport for the 3 hour flight to Brisbane and transfer down the Coast to Surfers Paradise for 11 nights accommodation at Beachfront Apartments, Broadbeach a short distance from the Oasis Shopping Centre, Pacific Fair and Jupiters Casino.

Day 2     Today to start our Golfing Classic we'll take on the Royal Pines Golf Club. This Championship Course provides plenty of challenges first up. Good luck on this course with the internal tournament Don will be organising.

Day 3     The Colonial is the next course you'll attack and things don't get any easier, again a challenging course where water comes into play for 14 out of the 18 holes and 82 bunkers await any errant shots. Enjoy an evening out with a rest day tomorrow it's a chance to sample the vibrant nightlife and Jupiter's Casino.

Day 4     Rest Day! Plenty of options here, a trip to Movieworld, Seawold or Dreamworld is a fun way to spend the day.

Day 5     Consistently ranked in Australia's top ten resort courses Hope Island provides a scenic 18 holes you'll be sure to enjoy. This course played host to 1997 Johnny Walker Classic!

Day 6     Next it's a round at Robina Woods with towering gum trees along rolling fairways whic make for a picturesque course. The 18th Hole will be one of your highlights especially the approach to the Green!

Day 7     Enjoy a round today at Lakeland Golf course a Jack Nicklaus designed course on the Gold Coast. A fantastic layout that provides a good test, you'll definitley deserve a drink at the brilliant clubhouse afterwards. With a rest day up ahead maybe a visit and meal at Dracula's could be a sound choice.

Day 8     Rest Day! Let's take a cruise around the Surfers Paradise, or it's a good opportunity for some shopping at nearby Pacific Fair and a visit to some of the sporting and golfing wholesalers in the area.

Day 9     Sanctuary Cove Golf Club has two 18 hole courses, we've chosen the Arnold Palmer designed Palms course, a demanding challenge in it's own right.

Day 10     A half hour drive toward Brisbane and we're at Gainsborough Greens which is next on the list, it's reasonably flat course that you will enjoy. Look out for the many Kangaroo's around the place during your round.

Day 11     On our second to last day we'll travel just south of the NSW/Queensland border to Coolangatta Tweed Heads Golf Course. Two Championship Courses to chose from, great way to complete your golfing experience and wrap the internal competition Don has organising. On our final evening enjoy a group meal out together.

Day 12      Final chance to do some last minute shopping before departure back to New Zealand.
