Central North Island Getaway
Day 1 On Monday we'll travel to Rotorua and play the Rotorua International Course which is flat with a mixture of dog-leg fairways and tricky greens. We'll stay at Rotorua's Sudima Hotel in the centre of the city for the night and for dinner and some relaxation we'll head down the road to the local Workys or RSA.
Day 2 Tuesday morning we'll head for Taupo and a date with the Centennial Course with plenty of time afterwards to enjoy the short lakeside drive to Turangi for the nights stay at the Settlers Motel. Again the evening is free to recover or a short, crisp walk into Turangi"s local establishments for a meal or a quiet ale.
Day 3 We'll mix in with the locals on the "not easy" Turangi Course, and if it's cool enough the pond on the 1st Tee is always a tester! We'll enjoy the clubhouse then mid-afternoon we'll travel to Taumarunui and settle in at the Central Park Motor Inn for the next 2 nights.
Day 4 The Taumarunui Golf Course welcomes us on Thursday where we'll join their Weekly Scramble and mix in with the locals. The Taumarunui Course, commonly known as the Tarrangower Course is an attractive all weather course of undulating tree lined fairways, leading to well guarded target greens.
Day 5 Friday we'll head North through Te Kuiti and play the picturesque Waitomo Golf Course before making the final journey homeward.
